Lave Philosophy

Lave’s passion is to produce herbal cosmetic products that are rewarding to our health. We make every effort to source ingredients which have been grown sustainable, thus we are also helping to ensure a healthy environment for generations to come.

All Lave products are made with plant derived materials. Our products include quality plant oils, essential oils, herbs and spices. Whenever possible, we source certified organic ingredients. Lave deliberately avoids inexpensive synthetic skin irritating ingredients in our productions.

In particular, we avoid petroleum based SLS's (sodium laurel sulfates), which many people find to be an irritant, causing a variety of painful dermatological conditions.

Chemical irritants are measured against SLS (the most irritating compound), in a similar way the hardness of materials is measured against diamond (the hardest compound).

Since petroleum based detergents and chemical fertilizer were invented in the mid 1950s, the number of people who suffer from skin irritation and unknown allergic reaction has continued to increase on a worldwide scale.

I have personally experienced the trauma of not knowing why my skin was breaking out into a rash. When I turned 20 years young, I discovered that my terrible skin irritation was caused by chemical based detergents, including shampoo, conditioner, dish washing liquid, Laundry power, household cleaning agents. A majority of these products contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Parabens, artificial fragrances, colorants and metals.

These chemicals are not good for the human body. Many of these chemicals are known by the scientific community to be hazardous to animal health. However, because they are inexpensive they are often selected as ingredients by multinational companies whose primary interest is to maximize profits.

Many cosmetic producers use those skin irritants as the basis for their products, knowing fully well that they are not safe for the environment or for the animals, insects, and plants who inhabit this planet.

Lave was established in 2004. The founder of Lave wanted to use body care products that  are made with only high quality ingredients, which will not harm herself, and customers.

Lave has a wide range of organic hand made soaps. Our product range includes shampoo, body wash, face wash, laundry and dish washing cakes of premium soap.
